From Otherkin Wiki

A fictherian, similar to a therianthrope, identifies as an animal. Specifically, a fictherian's identity is one that is from a work of fiction or otherwise not from this Earth.[1]

Fictherians experience animalistic instincts, like territoriality, while being creatures from fiction[2]

Earthly therians often unfairly scrutinize fictherians and theriomythics, focusing more on the latter's non-Earthly origin than on the groups' shared experiences[3][4]

A theriomythic's identity may differ from their source's official canon[5]
